Halloween is one of our favorite times of year. It’s a great holiday, and it also lands right when hiring managers are working to fill their most critical roles.
Managers come back from summer and start thinking about hiring. A new employee who starts in the fall can add value through the end of the year and be fully trained before the holidays arrive. Hiring gets much harder once Thanksgiving week begins, when managers want time off for family and personal plans. That means new hires need to be up and running now. Most managers began interviewing in early September, right after Labor Day, so it’s time to decide and move forward.
That’s why we put together Halloween treat bags for the managers we work with. The candy does two things. It gives them a little extra energy for the final round of interviews and meetings with other decision-makers, which can be stressful. It also shows them that we know they’re in crunch time and we’re here to help.
